Looking toward the Castle from near the the former Granada Cinema (just visible to the right of the bottom image). Most of the street was built in the late 1800's, linking Castle Hill to the Market Place. The original route to the Market Place being via St James Street.
The poster to the left is advertising boxing matches that regularly took place in Pencester Park !!
